I cannot imagine there ever being a day dark enough to want to commit suicide.
However, we know that this is a reality for many each year.
If you are now contemplating or ever do contemplate this action in the future, please immediately do the following;
- Contact a trusted friend or loved one and talk to them about what you are thinking and going through.
- In addition, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline # 1-800-273-8255 and get professional help. They offer free and confidential support for anyone in distress. They provide prevention and crisis resources for you and your family with best practices for professionals. Their website is as follows; Lifeline (suicidepreventionlifeline.org)
On their website you will find stories of other people like you who went through the same crisis and how they overcame the crisis to find hope and recovery.

While seeking help, please keep in mind that you are important to others… likely more than you will ever realize.
You are also important to God. He provides another "Lifeline" and wants you to call out to Him. He cares about you, wants to help you and WILL help you. He is just a prayer away!

You are important enough to God that He gave His only begotten son to die for you and your sins. Christ died for ALL. That means He died for YOU. Please recite over and over, silently or out loud “I am important to God.”
1 John 4:9-10 NIV
9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In our hectic everyday lives, it is sometimes easy to fall into the trap that Satan sets. In this trap people begin to think that no one cares about them. They feel alone, no matter where they are. Most of this is imagined and not real. For certain, our God cares about us. He showed us how much He loves us by sending Jesus to die on the cross that we might have life through Him. God wants to help us.
Besides feeling alone, for some reason people begin to think that no one cares about them. This is not true and more people care about you than you realize. Also, God cares about YOU! He knows all about YOU. He wants YOU to accept His friendship. He sent His Son so that YOU might be forgiven.
Luke 12:6-7 NIV
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
YOUR LIFE MATTERS
So, if you are discouraged with life and filled with doubts and despair OR if you have reached the point where you don’t want to live, think about this one fact;
YOUR LIFE MATTERS!
It matters to others and it matters to God.
Turn to God.
He sees you, He knows all about you and He wants you.
Look to Him and allow Him to use you to help others.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]
Luke 1:37 KJV
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
-Finally, God speaks the same words to you that He spoke to Jeremiah to give to those in exile in Babylon-
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
