Luke 16:22 English Standard Version

Hebrews 1:13-14 English Standard Version
13 And to which of the angels has he ever said,
“Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
Luke 15:10 English Standard Version

Matthew 18:10 English Standard Version

This will be a rather short chapter on angels.
You either believe in them, question them or disbelieve in them.
Angels are mentioned in the King James Version of the Bible a total of 292 times, which is evidence that God wants us to know about them.
Yes, I definitely believe in the spiritual world.
I believe in angels as the spiritual beings that God uses for many purposes and I believe in evil spirits used by Satan in his warfare against humanity.
The writer of Hebrews, who I believe was Paul, said that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.
Not just the souls of saints that have gone home before us, but also the host of angels who are at the command of God.
Paul also tells us in Hebrews that “are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are to inherit salvation.”
Notice he said ALL of the angels are ministering spirits.
Even the most exalted of the host of angels has the job of ministering to the heirs of salvation. Ministering to our needs. What a wonderful thought this is. What a gift this is.
Angels, as spirit beings empowered by God can also take the form of humans.
Oh yeah, some might say, just like the guardian angel Clarence, in the movie “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
Despite the doubting of many, I certainly believe that angels can be around us in their invisible form as well as in our presence in human form.
Paul again explains this in the book of Hebrews;
Hebrews 13:2 English Standard Version
2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Three times in my life, I have felt the hand of God, in what I believe was a guardian angel. I will never doubt this. No one can ever convince me it is not so and I praise God daily for His watchful care.
Finally, not only are the angels ministering spirits for Christians in this life, but upon death they will transport the eternal soul to be with God.
At death, the poor man Lazarus (Luke 16:22) had his soul carried by the angels to Abraham’s side.
In the 1970s there was a gospel song entitled “One Way Flight” with lyrics as follows;
“All aboard the Master calleth from the runway
For our leaving is almost at hand
Make your way to the toll gate called Calvary
For this one-way flight to glory land”
What a joyous thought to know that when we draw our last breath, the ministering angels will carry us away to be with God.
Yes, a one-way ticket and a one-way flight to glory land.
